Monday, March 27, 2017:

In Friday’s Athletic Events…....The Varsity Baseball Team (6-8) beat Marathon High School 14-0.  Jorden Gross threw the Spartans 2nd consecutive no-hitter, pitching the complete game and striking out 12,  Kian Andersen was 2 for 3 with 3 RBI, Griffin Sennett wend 1 for 2 with 3 runs scored, Jordan Sale was 2 for 4 with 2 RBI and 2 runs scored, and Lee Isalovits was 2 for 4 with 2 runs scored.  The Varsity Lacrosse Team (5-8) beat Westminster Christian 15-4.  Ryan Finvarb led the way with 5 goals and 4 assists, Blaise Pronesti had a goal and 7 assists, Noah Reines added 2 goals and 2 assists, Jack Finvarb had 2 goals, John Sayfie had a goal and an assist, Sean Fuller, Zachary hart, Evan Mendelson, and Sam Robins all scored, Alex Sayfie added an assist, and Noah Florin and Danny Strouse each played well.  The Girls and Boys Varsity Water Polo Teams participated in the Ransom Invitational.  All results will be included in Tuesday’s update.
 
On Saturday……The Varsity Lacrosse Team (5-9) lost to Palmetto 16-12.  Ryan Finvarb led the way with 4 goals and an assist, Sam Robins and Jack Finvarb each had 3 goals, Marlon Robins and Blaise Pronesti each had a goal and an assist, Sean Fuller and Evan Mendelson each added 2 assists, Carlos Ortega and Daniel Strouse had assists, and David Burger made 20 saves.  The Middle School (Varsity) Lacrosse Team (3-7) lost to Belen 7-0 and Palmetto 9-4.  Mitchell Koch had 2 goals, Ryan Mendelson added a goal and an assist, Lucas Zayden scored, Michael Port had an assist, and Manny Rivero, Oliver Zigel, Felix Elortegui, and Milan Luciano each played well.  The Middle School Baseball Team (1-13) lost to Marathon 10-3 and 6-0.  Jake Wyka doubled and Alex McMillan singled.
